New LAFC signing Giorgio Chiellini will become a pundit for Sky Sport Italia, joining his former Juventus teammate Alessandro Del Piero.

The former Italy international left Juventus in the summer, moving to the MLS, where he has signed an 18-month deal with LAFC.

Chiellini has already made his debut with his new club but will remain a familiar face for Serie A fans in Italy.

Sky Sport Italia has confirmed that the ex-Italy captain will join their pundits’ team for the new campaign. The broadcasters haven’t specified how many times Chiellini will appear in their pre and post-match shows and whether he’ll comment on Serie A or Champions League games.

Chiellini captained Italy to win Euro 2020 a year ago and snatched nine consecutive Scudetto during his 17-year spell at Juventus.

Del Piero, Alessandro Costacurta, Luca Marchegiani, Walter Zenga, Fabio Capello, Esteban Cambiasso, Beppe Bergomi, Paolo Di Canio and Giancarlo Marocchi are also part of Sky Sport’s pundits’ team.

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte also joined Sky Sport Italia as a Champions League pundit for a few months last year before signing his contract with Spurs in November 2021.
