Former Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, who officially returned to the club last week, held a meeting with PSV directors Tuesday afternoon ahead of a Champions League game at the Allianz Stadium.

The ex-Italy international returned to Turin last week, taking on a role focused “on relations with national and international football institutions,” Juventus said in a statement on Sunday.

The Juventus and Italy legend made his first public appearance in his new role on Tuesday when he attended an institutional lunch with PSV directors at a restaurant in the city centre.

In a few hours, Juventus will meet the Dutch side in their first Champions League game in nearly two years.

After being eliminated in the group stage in 2022-23, the Bianconeri were banned from European competitions last season.
