Jorginho is keen on the idea of returning to Napoli after his contract expires with Chelsea but his high wages could prove problematic, reports detail.

The 31-year-old Italian-Brazilian is entering the final six months of his deal with the Blues and looks set to depart in the summer, ending a five-year spell in West London. Jorginho has been a key figure for Chelsea over the last few years, making 208 appearances across all competitions and helping the side win the Champions League and Europa League.

As reported by La Repubblica, Jorginho is dreaming of a return to Napoli after his time with Chelsea draws to a close, but his €6m net per season wages are clearly too high for the Partenopei. He’d seemingly have to drop his salary by at least half in order to help facilitate a move.

Newcastle United are keen to keep the Euro 2020 winner in the Premier League and have already made an initial move, whilst Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the situation. A move to Juventus or Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio also appear to be possibilities.
