Chelsea are preparing to send their first formal offer to Napoli for striker Victor Osimhen and the Premier League outfit are also prepared to spend heavily on personal terms for the Nigeria international, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport

Napoli preparing offers for Napoli and Osimhen

Tuesday’s report suggests that Chelsea are willing to offer Napoli around the same fee as Al-Ahli did over the weekend, if not slightly more. The offer from Saudi Arabia stood at a reported €70m.

On top of the transfer fee, Chelsea must also agree a deal on personal terms with Osimhen and his representatives.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Chelsea will be prepared to offer Osimhen around the same wages that he currently earns with Napoli. After re-negotiating his contract with the Partenopei last season, Osimhen currently takes home an annual wage of around €10m.

Enzo Maresca’s side have also been linked with a move for England international Ivan Toney from Brentford, but outlets in Italy seem confident they are pushing ahead with the Napoli deal.

Napoli have been looking to sell the 2022-23 Capocannoniere since the end of last season, but have not yet been able to agree a deal with the two most interested parties, Al-Ahli and Paris Saint Germain.

The Parisians have not tabled a formal offer for the Nigerian, despite widely reported interest.

  1. Ivan Toney is better . Hope Chelsea FC should bid for Toney . Toney has a skill too and proven striker too and he has physical power to fight off defense . Osimhen is good but financially wise no . If they get osimhen, problem with Chelsea FC both of the strikers are out for African cup . Toney is same as osimhen . They both skillful and powerful players . I go for Toney for financial situation .

  2. I have watched osimhen play for many years this guy is really good at his best in open field so in England with relatively open defenses he could shine further
