Chelsea stop Icardi renewal?

It’s reported that Mauro Icardi’s Inter renewal has been held up by a €30m bid from English champions Chelsea.

The Argentinian striker has been thought to be on the verge of signing a new deal for the last few weeks, but as yet there has been no official confirmation.

According to SportMediaset, the reason for the delay is that Chelsea are preparing a bid of €30m for the 22-year-old.

Icardi has 18 goals in 31 Serie A appearances this season, and the news outlet believes that the player and his entourage are delaying the signing of a renewal so as not to put off potential buyers.
