Chelsea full back Reece James took a moment to praise Milan forward Rafael Leao following the Portuguese winger’s winning strike in the win over Monza.
The pair struck up a friendship following their recent back-to-back Champions League clashes, when they shared a tough and tiring battle on the pitch. Chelsea were heavily linked with a late move for Leao in the summer and the friendship between the pair has caught the attention of fans, with Blues supporters hoping James can convince Leao of the move to West London.
Leao celebrated Milan’s win over Monza in a post on his Instagram page and James took the chance to praise his new friend, posting a surfer emoji in reference of the Portuguese winger.
The comment has again reignited rumours that Leao could soon find his way to the Premier League.
The Portuguese winger has still not signed a contract renewal with Milan and with his current deal set to expire in 2024, a departure could be on the horizon next summer.
