The ex-Fulham defender is the first signing of the Enzo Maresca era at Stamford Bridge

There will be many connections between the Blues and Serie A clubs this summer, not only because Antonio Conte wants to reunite with Romelu Lukaku at Napoli.

Chelsea had been heavily linked with Napoli star Osimhen over the last few months, but according to Gazzetta’s Friday printed edition on page 14, the Premier League side have cooled their interest in the Nigeria international.

The report claims Osimhen dreams of joining Chelsea to follow in Didier Drogba’s footsteps, but Maresca’s appointment means the Premier League side could be looking to other strikers this summer.
