Diego Costa’s Stamford Bridge career got off to a great start this season, but there are fears an injury could keep him out of action for two months.
With this in mind, Calciomercato.it claim Chelsea are reviving their interest in Roma centre-forward Destro.
Previously linked with Milan, Tottenham, Arsenal and Wolfsburg, Destro is a 23-year-old striker who Roma value at €25m (£19.8m).
He was off the field for almost a whole year due to persistent knee issues, but found his form last season with 13 Serie A goals in just 20 games.
Chelsea are also on the verge of sending Fernando Torres to Milan, as the Spaniard agreed personal terms for a two-year contract.
His agents will now discuss a severance package with Chelsea to terminate his current deal by mutual consent.
