Chelsea are ready to raise their offer for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani to €35m plus bonuses to make Maurizio Sarri happy.
The centre-back had his best season under Sarri at Empoli and has struggled for playing time since moving to Turin.
According to Sportitalia and Il Messaggero newspaper, the €30m plus bonuses bid was rejected, but another is already on its way to Juve HQ.
This time it’ll be €35m plus performance-related bonuses and that is very close indeed to the Bianconeri’s asking price.

Juve would invest the money in Matthijs de Ligt of Ajax or go for Atletico Madrid veteran Diego Godin.
Rugani turns 24 next month and has grown increasingly frustrated at how low he fares in the Juventus pecking order under Coach Max Allegri.
This season he had 26 competitive appearances, but was only rarely used in the big games.
He had 81 matches under Sarri at Empoli from 2013 to 2015, contributing five goals and two assists, but was practically ever-present.
