Transfer guru Alfredo Pedullà maintains there will be a period of reflection over the weekend, but that from Monday onwards it’ll be a siege on Napoli to get Sarri.

Transfer guru Alfredo Pedullà maintains there will be a period of reflection over the weekend, but that from Monday onwards it’ll be a siege on Napoli to get Sarri.

Although Sarri was fired to make way for Carlo Ancelotti, his contract remains intact and he is still being paid by Napoli.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed as much when noting today Sarri “is an employee of Napoli.”

The €8m release clause has expired and is no longer valid, but Napoli want to be paid in order to let the tactician go.

Chelsea agreed terms with Laurent Blanc, but continue to consider him Plan B.

Meanwhile, the Stamford Bridge outfit have their own problems to resolve, as Antonio Conte is owed €10m if they sack him a year early.
