Denis Zakaria has struggled for consistent minutes with Chelsea this season but the Juventus loanee could remain in West London, reports suggest.
The 26-year-old Swiss midfielder only spent seven months with Juventus last year before leaving for the Blues on a loan deal with a €33m total buy option attached.
Zakaria has hardly featured for Chelsea this season, only making his Premier League debut in December and seeing just 339 minutes of action in the league.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are planning to discuss Zakaria with Juventus in the summer, hoping to secure a discount on the €33m fee agreed last summer.
Despite his lack of minutes, the Blues still believe the Swiss midfielder is a strong player and a good fit for Graham Potter’s squad.
Zakaria started to feature more regularly for Chelsea just after Christmas but his run of four consecutive games was cut short by a hamstring injury.
