Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to offer up to €90m, including add-ons, to sign Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.

The Dutch centre-back is expected to leave the Allianz Stadium in the summer despite a contract until 2024. He has a €120m release clause, but Juventus are open to selling for a lower fee.

The Bavarians have been monitoring De Ligt for several years and were in talks with him in 2019 before he eventually joined the Serie A giants.

According to Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti, there have been new contacts between the clubs’ directors today and Bayern will soon call Juventus again with an offer of €75m plus €10-15m add-ons.

De Ligt is willing to leave the Allianz Stadium, as suggested by Juventus’ CEO Maurizio Arrivabene last week.

The Bianconeri have turned down Chelsea’s €40m bid plus Timo Werner or Christian Pulisic, insisting that they want only cash for their star defender.

De Ligt joined Juventus in an €85.5m deal from Ajax in 2019 and has played 117 games in Turin.

  1. Good! He’s a very good player, but let’s face it – he’s not a fit for Juve. If they can get Bremer instead, that would be fantastic.

  2. Juve are doing well to resist the lower offers submitted, but will not get £120M. Only Moggi and Marotta could have done that or something ingenious as an alternative. Bremer is more likely heading to Inter and Torino have asked £50M. He is not worth that money, as he has no CL experience and has no international experience. Fear not Juve will replace the Dutch Phil Jones. The best option is Montero, ask Leggrotaglie to come out of retirement or just get Dusan to fill that void, temporarily until Zaniolo can arrive, and then adapt to PhD Max’s master plan.

  3. De Ligt is such an overrated player. He was suppose to be at his highest level now but th years that he was at Juve he made to many mistakes.

Bremer and Pau Torres could be very good signings.
