Question marks continue to hover over Jose Mourinho’s future, as former Inter director Fulvio Collovati insists he ‘already received offers and one of them is from Chelsea,’ while Roma look to Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi.

The Special One has repeatedly complained in the media about the quality of the squad at his disposal and hit out at fans and reporters at the weekend for not realising what they are achieving in “very difficult circumstances.”

“I saw him strangely sad, as if he was ruminating over something,” Inter legend Collovati told Rai Sport.

“I think he has already received offers and one of them is from Chelsea. Maybe a few national sides too. It could be that he is laying the groundwork for a departure at the end of the season.”

Roma are also not entirely confident they want to continue with Mourinho beyond the current campaign, despite him winning the Europa Conference League in his debut season.

According to The Telegraph, one of the candidates to replace Mourinho at the Stadio Olimpico is current Brighton and Hove Albion boss De Zerbi.

Formerly of Benevento, Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk, the Italian tactician reportedly has a release clause in his contract with the Premier League side worth €15m.

Roma would face competition, as De Zerbi has also been linked with Juventus, Milan, Inter and Tottenham Hotspur.
