Sky Sport Italia claims Chelsea won’t accept less than £37m, circa €43m, for Romelu Lukaku, but Milan and Napoli hope the striker’s price will decrease through the summer.
Lukaku has emerged as a target for Milan and Napoli, but while the Rossoneri can already invest in a new centre forward, the Partenopei must sell Victor Osimhen to make room for the Belgian striker.
Chelsea won’t lower Lukaku price for Milan or Napoli
There were reports that Chelsea would sell Lukaku for €30m, but according to Sky Italia, the striker’s price tag is still around €40m. Practically, Chelsea still demand the entire £37m clause to let Lukaku leave in the summer.
Sky insists that neither Napoli nor Milan are willing to pay as much, so they hope Chelsea’s demands will lower during the summer transfer window.
Sky reports Milan could wait until the end of the transfer window to try to get Lukaku on loan like Roma did last season. However, it remains to be seen if head coach Paulo Fonseca can wait that long before welcoming a new centre forward.
