The final offer Chelsea are expected to make for Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is €130m in cash (£110.8m), without bonuses or Marcos Alonso.
The striker has given the all-clear to Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel after a telephone conversation and he also informed Inter that he wants to make the move back to Stamford Bridge.
Multiple sources stated that €100m plus Alonso was rejected, but the next offer is expected to be successful.
While some have suggested it’ll be €120m plus €10m in bonuses, Sportitalia insist the proposal on the table will be €130m in cash.
Lukaku is set to earn €12m plus bonuses per season, reaching a reported €15m salary.
That is the kind of figure that can convince Inter to sell their top scorer and allow them to invest in replacements.
Duvan Zapata is the first choice, with Atalanta requesting at least €40m plus up to €10m in bonuses.
Other candidates include Fiorentina’s 21-year-old Dusan Vlahovic and Roma veteran Edin Dzeko.
Meanwhile, Chelsea were in action this evening during a 2-2 friendly draw with Tottenham Hotspur and Tuchel was asked about Lukaku.
“I will not talk about players who don’t play in my squad. Romelu Lukaku is a fantastic player but he is a player from Inter and with all due respect I will not involve him in this discussion,” was the response.
“Everybody wants to come. Well not everybody but a lot of players want to come.”
