Matthijs de Ligt has asked Juventus for a move away this summer amid links to Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Dutch centre back’s agent Rafaela Pimenta met with the Bianconeri management yesterday to discuss the future of both the former Ajax man and another client of hers, Paul Pogba. The Frenchman hardly took up time in the talks, with everything being agreed now, but the same cannot be said for De Ligt, whose future is further shrouded in doubt now following the meeting.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, nothing was agreed between Juventus and De Ligt in yesterday’s meeting and the Dutchman asked for a move away from the club, keen for a new adventure. Both Chelsea and Manchester United are keen to bring him to England and they could enter talks with the Bianconeri soon.

Juventus are still open to renewing his contract, but it’s clear now that the 22-year-old has his heart set on a move.

  1. If juve can get over 100 million then fine. That could get us Neymar and a new center back. Preferably someone that knows the league well.

  2. Good attitude from de ligt, at least he is much more clear than dybala
He needs new challenge and he knows that Juve can still get bounty of money from his transfer, unfortunately dybala didn’t have the same attitude and he more proven to be godl hunter than a clear man

  3. I hope Juventus decides soon to sell de Ligt and not wait until August 31 to sell him and without the opportunity to buy other players with that money.

  4. After one season of Allegri players are jumping ship lol. Juve should sell him to the highest bidder.

  5. If he wants to go let him go and get some young Italian talent, they play for the Jersey

  6. the worrying thing about about these Juve transfers is who is coming in to back fill these roles?! apart from the back benchers what first team players are coming? letting a fair few go is fine! But we need quality and numbers to replace them?! tap into the youth teams too…transition period is an understatement! I sincerely hope Juve do not end up like UTD!

  7. @ale yes there is a difference, finals actually wanted to stay at nice. From the day they signed deligt its been nothing but him leaving.
