Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi has attracted interest from numerous clubs with his Brighton results and the latest is Chelsea, joining Milan, Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

The former Benevento, Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk tactician has gone from strength to strength at Brighton and Hove Albion, with his exciting brand of football making him a stand-out manager in the Premier League.

There were reports only today that Milan were making De Zerbi their number one target to replace Stefano Pioli next season and build a new era at San Siro.

Now The Guardian newspaper claims that Chelsea have also put De Zerbi on their list along with Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim.

Chelsea are struggling under Mauricio Pochettino and of all the clubs in the race would be the most likely to pay the £10m release clause in De Zerbi’s contract with Brighton.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports Deutschland note this evening that De Zerbi is second on Bayern Munich’s wish list after Xabi Alonso.

He has also been linked with the Liverpool and Barcelona jobs, which will both be vacant in the summer.
