Kepa Arrizabalaga could reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Lazio, while Chelsea are prepared to stun Fulham by capturing Thomas Strakosha as a free agent.

It is well known that Lazio are seeking a new goalkeeper, as Strakosha is out of contract, while Pepe Reina also does not seem to be staying at the Stadio Olimpico.

Their first choice is Atalanta-owned Marco Carnesecchi, who is currently on loan at Cremonese, but he could be out for several months after surgery.

According to RMC Sport in France, the solution could be for Lazio to get Kepa on loan from Chelsea, where he is irritated at the competition from Edouard Mendy.

In turn, Chelsea would sign Strakosha as Mendy’s understudy, despite the reports the Albania international goalkeeper had a deal with Fulham for weeks.

Sarri and Kepa of course have quite a history from their time together at Chelsea, most notably when the Spanish goalkeeper refused to be substituted in extra time during the Carabao Cup Final in 2019.

He later insisted there was a misunderstanding, but Sarri had tried to substitute Kepa and he refused to come off.

Chelsea paid over €70m to sign him from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, yet he is now warming the bench at Stamford Bridge with only 15 competitive matches all season.
