Denzel Dumfries is increasingly likely to leave Inter this summer, with Chelsea ready to battle Manchester United for the €40m Dutchman.
The Nerazzurri need to sell at least one big star in order to balance the books and it was meant to be Milan Skriniar, but PSG have not reached the €80m asking price.
The failure to capture Gleison Bremer as his replacement also makes it more probable that the defender will remain.
Instead, Dumfries is the primary candidate for sale, as he was purchased only a year ago from PSV Eindhoven for €13.7m and would be available at a price of €40m.
Manchester United had already shown interest in the 26-year-old right-back over the last few days and now La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Chelsea are also in the running for Dumfries.
Crucially, Inter already have a ready-made replacement in the squad, having picked up Raoul Bellanova from Cagliari.
Swap him for Lukaku straight up 🙂
He will do well in the PL. He is quick, bombs up and down and has a real goal threat esp aerially.
Bellanova is not ready, and with a system that relies on Wingbacks, and having lost Hakimi last year and Perisic this year, selling Dumfries would be highly irresponsible of Inter‘s management… trying to sell Skriniar was stupid, this would be betrayal without a top replacement coming in…

Inter were lucky to replace Hakimi with Dumfries, it will be challenging to find someone as efficient! Perisic is also gone, they seem to dismantle the squad.
why would chelsea want dumfries – to play on the left? they have reece james on the right – mans barely barely ever makes a mistake.
