Chelsea are reportedly considering hiring Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi to replace Graham Potter next season.
The Italian tactician signed a four-year deal with the Seagulls in September replacing Potter who had joined the Blues.
According to t Football Insider, the two coaches could once again cross paths at Stamford Bridge as the Italian tactician is on Chelsea’s list of candidates to replace Potter if he’s sacked.
The 47-year-old has only won nine of his 26 games at Stamford Bridge, while De Zerbi, a former Sassuolo coach, earned one more victory in 21 games in charge of Brighton.
According to the report, Roma are also considering De Zerbi for next season if Mourinho leaves and the same is true of Tottenham given that Antonio Conte’s future in North London remains uncertain with a contract expiring on June 30.
Mourinho has also been mentioned as a candidate for the Chelsea job although his current deal at the Stadio Olimpico ends in 2024.
