After Romelu Lukaku, there are suggestions Chelsea could pump €130m into the Inter club coffers for a trio of players – Milan Skriniar, Denzel Dumfries and Cesare Casadei.

The Premier League side have been linked with all three of these players, but the idea of making a triple deal really would shake up the transfer market.

The two clubs have a good rapport, as shown by the €113m signing of Lukaku last summer, and decision to loan him straight back again for €10m plus bonuses.

That sale effectively allowed Inter to balance the books and a deal worth €130m would more than get them on an even keel this summer too.

According to Calciomercato.it, the negotiations are on-going for defender Skriniar at over €70m, wing-back Dumfries at €40m and youth team midfielder Casadei, who saw an €8m proposal rejected.

If all three were to make the move to Stamford Bridge, the total cost would be circa €130m.

13 thought on “Chelsea could do €130m triple deal with Inter”
  1. Inter could do without Dumfries but we cannot afford to lose Skriniar. Inzaghi should be giving Casadei a chance. Everyone complains about there not being enough young Italian talent yet all these coaches do is bench them. I would like to see him start with Barella and Brozo in the midfield. Clearly if Chelsea want him then he must be good enough to start for Inter.

  2. It’s sad that Chelsea believe in Casadei whereas we see him as expendable…. All three players should not be on the market, especially Skriniar… all we needed this season was (like the season before) was to keep the same squad and add 1 or 2 players to strengthen it (at a cost of $40m say), wouldn’t take a lot but we can’t even do that. Steven and Suning has done a good job but they need to sell the club now for our sake…

  3. just put a 35m euro buy back clause for Casadei.

Chelsea are known to buy youngsters and sell them or trade them in for a player in the future, thr whole academy is sold this way

  4. Same old Inter, always looking to sell their top youth players and not giving them a chance. Keep Casadei and play him and you could have him for number of years without shelling out any money.

  5. To the Inter fans complaining about “not enough Italian youngsters” or “why isn’t Casadei given a chance?”. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. If Inter want to avoid UEFA sanctions, or worse, restarting from Serie D, then the club needs to generate funds. One of the easiest ways to generate funds is by selling players that have come up through the club, as this represents 100% profit. Finally, you can’t complain about all the signings other clubs are making and how you won’t be competitive this season if you A.) Don’t have the money to pay for signings, and B.) Start 18 year old youth players instead of established players. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

  6. This is hilarious. It’s as if Chelsea own Inter and are propping them up using a weird loophole that will eventually be investigated.

Not that I believe it. Why on earth would Chelsea buy another young player, they already have their own spread across Europe.

  7. @Interello, but haven’t they done just that? Lukaku has returned and his muscle and goals will be a huge improvement over rapidly fading Dzeko. The only “sacrifice” ought to be Dumfries, who didn’t event start every game and whose replacement is already there (Bellanova). It’s a small drop in quality at RWB (for now) in exchange for a big increase in quality at striker.

  8. So who in their right mind would think this is bad if it happens. The moment Suning accept that if in fact it’s true and sell all those players this transfer window then it’ll mean their time at Inter will end sooner rather than later (which is good). Believe or not since Suning took over despite making Inter successful in a short time the attack from Italian media will simply not stop. The media in Italy will always be against Inter but the problem with Suning is that they don’t have the money to spend or more plainly they do have the money but since they are from China it’s difficult to spend. Inter are one of the valuable team in football so when Suning sell and Inter get owners who actually spend money then the BS rumours and attacks won’t matter. I don’t think Inter will let go Skriniar go because however desperate the media makes Inter to be I believe next season is when Inzaghi will show his full potential especially in the CL. The best starting lineup in Italy is still Inter and it’ll much more clear when the season starts
