Chelsea ask after Mancini

Chelsea have reportedly approached Inter boss Roberto Mancini with wages worth €8.5m per season.

The Coach is sitting pretty on top of the Serie A table, but there were rumours of a row with several players after Sunday’s 2-1 home defeat to Lazio.

According to FcInterNews.it, Chelsea consider Mancio one of the potential long-term replacements for Jose Mourinho.

Guus Hiddink is in charge as a caretaker manager, but plans are already afoot for next season.

It is claimed the Blues offered Mancini a two-year contract worth £6.3m per term.

He is an old hand at the Premier League, winning the title with Manchester City.

Other options for Chelsea include Pep Guardiola, as Carlo Ancelotti has already been appointed as Bayern Munich manager for next season.
