Palermo “will make a decision in the next few days after receiving interesting offers from Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea” for Javier Pastore.

Director of sport Sean Sogliano confirmed it is now a two-horse race for the 22-year-old Argentine talent.

“At the moment we are waiting and will make a decision in the next few days, after tomorrow's Europa League game against Thun,” he told RMC radio.

“We have received interesting offers from Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.”

It is reported in France that PSG proposed €42m to take ‘Flaco' from Palermo and are the hot favourites for his signature.

Chelsea are the other contenders, but at the moment the media in Italy suggest Ligue 1 is a more likely destination.

“It's true, I have a good rapport with Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini and everyone would like a player like Pastore,” confessed Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo in today's Press conference.

“We are working on possibilities and want to bring players who above all believe in our project.

“At the moment our priority is to sign a new goalkeeper, as we are missing someone in that role.”

It is believed Palermo shot-stopper Salvatore Sirigu will complete his transfer to Paris on Thursday.
