Paulo Fonseca’s Milan are due to host Liverpool in San Siro for their first Champions League fixture of the 2024-25 campaign, and there are still tickets available to buy for next Tuesday’s clash of the European heavyweights.

Milannews reports several tickets are still available for Milan‘s opening 2024-25 Champions League game against Liverpool at the Stadio Meazza in San Siro next week.

The report claims tickets are still available in every stadium sector, including the ‘Secondo anello Blu’, Milan’s Curva Sud.

Milannews suggests that high prices and Milan’s poor start to the season explain slow ticket sales, although the Rossoneri have already sold all the away tickets for the upcoming Serie A derby against Inter on September 22, only a few days after their Champions League fixture with Liverpool.

Next Tuesday’s clash between the Rossoneri and the Reds will see two of the top three most successful sides in Champions League history face off against each other in one of the most iconic stadiums in World Football.

With their 13 combined Champions League titles, only Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid have lifted Europe’s most prestigious trophy on more occasions.

Liverpool are the most recent victors of the two sides, having triumphed in Istanbul under Jurgen Klopp back in 2019, while Milan’s last European title came against Liverpool in 2007 under Ancelotti.
