Inter and Lazio have already qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 and can still win their groups, while Napoli and Milan are not through the group phase yet and the Rossoneri’s fate is not in their hands.

The final games of the Champions League group stage will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday. Serie A representatives Napoli and Inter play on Tuesday, while Lazio and Milan take to the pitch the following day.

A draw will be enough for the Partenopei to qualify for the Round of 16 as runners-up, as Real Madrid have already won Group C by winning all their five games so far. Napoli will also qualify if they lose with a one-goal margin. Inter, on the other hand, have already earned a spot in the knock-out phase but must beat Real Sociedad at San Siro to win Group D as the La Liga side have a better goal difference and held the Serie A giants to a 1-1 draw in the first-leg game in Spain.

The situation is trickier for Milan who visit Newcastle on Wednesday. The Rossoneri must win in England and hope Borussia Dortmund beat PSG at home to qualify for the Round of 16. Lazio visit Atletico Madrid on the same day and must beat Diego Simeone’s side away to win Group E, but Maurizio Sarri’s men have already gotten their ticket for the Round of 16.

On paper, winning the group gives an easier path in the knock-out phase as group winners meet runners-up in the Round of 16.

Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Manchester City are among the clubs who have already won their groups with a game to spare.
