Champions League: Newcastle vs Milan – probable line-ups

Milan will look to do everything they can to progress in the Champions League in their final group game against Newcastle United.

The match between the Magpies and the Rossoneri kicks off at 20.00 UK time at St. James’ Park in Newcastle.

Milan and Newcastle are currently tied at the bottom of Group F, each picking up one win and two draws in their five group outings. Ahead of them are Paris Saint-Germain with seven points and Borussia Dortmund with 10, so both clubs will be cheering for the Bundesliga side this evening.

The Premier League side have a number of absences heading into the match, having to do without the injured Nick Pope, Sven Botman, Matt Targett, Dan Burn, Joe Willock, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes and Jacob Murphy. Sandro Tonali is also unavailable through suspension.

Milan have started to climb out of their injury crisis but are still facing trouble in defence, unable to count on Marco Sportiello, Malick Thiaw, Pierre Kalulu and Marco Pellegrino.

When these two teams met back in September, things ended all square in a goalless draw.
