Join us for all the build-up and action as it happens from the Champions League play-off, as Juventus defend their first leg lead against PSV Eindhoven.

It kicks off at the PSV Stadion in Eindhoven at 20.00 GMT.

The Bianconeri won the first leg 2-1 in Turin thanks to goals from Weston McKennie and Samuel Mbangula, around the temporary Ivan Perisic equaliser.

As the away goals rule has been scrapped, a defeat by one clear goal would spark extra time.

Manuel Locatelli on Sky Sport Italia

“They wanted it more than we did tonight. We have to take a look at ourselves, clearly this is painful, we did not expect to go out of the Champions League like this.

“These games are decided by incidents and they were hungrier in the second half. They also held the initiative more, they created more chances and deserved to go through. We certainly have got to do better in future.

“I don’t even think it was a physical dip in the second half. It is difficult to see why we didn’t press them, but with their passing moves they were pinning us back and we struggled to break through. Perhaps our first press was poor, they got through, so we started to sit deeper.

“In terms of intensity, it depends on the game, as sometimes in Italy your opponents are clammed up and others more open. We used up a lot of energy against Inter and PSV certainly are quicker in their passing than we were accustomed to. However, we have to take responsibility for making too many mistakes.

“I and others were trying to have our say, but in those moments you see the experience or lack of experience in the side. At moments, there is tension and we feel anxious on the ball, it is something that can only be solved with time and we know that we do not have the luxury of time.

“Sadly, we cannot change the past, this is done and dusted now. We have to look forward.”

Football Italia Player Ratings

Meanwhile, PSV Eindhoven had not won a Champions League knockout tie since 2006-07 against Arsenal.

History made

Three Italian teams in the play-offs, three eliminated.

Inter are our only remaining representatives. And arguably, the Italians should’ve been the favourites in all those ties.

A well-worked Juve move with McKennie, but the cross from the right sort of hits Mbangula and he can’t stop it bouncing into the arms of Benitez.

Juve chance!

Cross into the box from the left by Mbangula, Savona glancing header well saved by Benitez at the near post. Might’ve been offside.

Bakayoko cross from the left cleared by Gatti, but Juve need to get out of their half.

Nico Gonzalez achieves that, but then slips and the pass is too short for Vlahovic.

Kenan Yildiz booked for… something. He didn’t even make contact with the PSV player, nor did he simulate because he was just over-stretching and lost his balance. Bizarre.
