Alexis Sanchez and Carlos Augusto are expected to start for Inter against RB Salzburg at San Siro this evening.

It kicks off at 17:45 BST.

The Nerazzurri have earned four points in the opening two group-stage games, collecting one draw against Real Sociedad and beating Benfica at San Siro two weeks ago.

Simone Inzaghi will rotate a little, so Carlos Augusto should replace Federico Dimarco as a left wing-back, while Marcus Thuram will rest in attack, making room for Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez. The Argentinean has scored 12 goals in 11 appearances across all competitions this season.

Stefan de Vrij is favourite over Francesco Acerbi to complete a three-man defence with Benjamin Pavard and Alessandro Bastoni, who rested against Torino over the weekend.

Nicolò Barella could rest against RB Salzburg instead, with Davide Frattesi starting in central midfield alongside Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Juan Cuadrado and Marko Arnautovic are still injured, so they are unavailable for this evening’s European fixture.
