Inter begin their Champions League campaign by hosting Real Madrid, while Milan visit Liverpool, Atalanta go to Villarreal and Juventus take on Malmö.

The draw for the group phase was held yesterday evening and now the fixtures have been drawn up as well.

It’s a fascinating start for the Rossoneri, who return to the Champions League after a seven-year absence and immediately are at Anfield against Liverpool, who they faced in two dramatic Finals.

Inter host Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid at San Siro on September 15, while Atalanta are in Spain for Europa League winners Villarreal and Juve go to Sweden.

2 thought on “Champions League fixtures: Milan open in Liverpool”
  1. That’s a very tough start for all the Italian teams. Only Juventus could come out of that with anything. The other three could quite easily lose. Inter have to get at least a point or it could be uphill from day 1.
