Simone Inzaghi and his Inter team are in Portugal ahead of this evening’s Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Estadio da Luz, where there are expected to be a few alterations to the Nerazzurri line-up.

In preparation for the European tie, a handful of first-team players were rested during Inter’s 1-1 draw with Salernitana on Friday, with several expected to be brought back in ahead of the last-eight clash.

Alessandor Bastoni is expected to return in place of Stefan De Vrij to join Matteo Darmian and Francesco Acerbi in Inzaghi’s back three.

Marcelo Brozovic will be called back in to replace 21-year-old Kristjan Asslani in midfield, whilst Robin Gosens will likely make way for Federico Dimarco on the left-hand side.

It is expected that there will be wholesale changes in attack, too, with both Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko tipped to start ahead of Romelu Lukaku and Juaquin Correa.

Inter will be without notable absentees in Milan Skriniar and Hakan Calhanoglu, who both continue to recover from their respective injuries.

Kick off at the Estadio da Luz on Tuesday night will be at 20.00 UK time.

Benfica (4-2-3-1): Vlachodimos; Gilberto, Antonio Silva, Morato, Grimaldo; Florentino Luis, Aursnes; Chiquinho, Joao Mario, Rafa Silva; Goncalo Ramos.

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Martinez.
