UEFA announced the Champions League Finals for the next four years will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Istanbul, London and Munich, with two of the next four Europa League Finals in Spain.
The tournament showdown was meant to be in Istanbul in 2021, but was moved to Porto due to the COVID-19 situation in the various European countries.
Following that relocation, UEFA have confirmed that Istanbul will get to host the Champions League Final in 2023.
This season, the Final will be held in Russia in the city of St Petersburg, which also hosted some UEFA EURO 2020 games.
The 2024 Final will be in London’s Wembley Stadium, which was the venue for the semi-finals and Final of the Euros.
Munich is going to be the host city for the 2025 Champions League Final.
It is a somewhat surprising show of confidence in Wembley after the chaotic scenes around the EURO 2020 Final between England and Italy, which saw potentially thousands of ticketless supporters storm the gates and gain entry.
Spain will be the nation handing out the Europa League trophy in both 2022 and 2025.
UEFA again explained that Dublin and Bilbao would be rewarded following the relocation of EURO 2020 matches.
Seville hosts in 2022, then Budapest in 2023, Dublin has the Final in 2024 and back to Spain for Bilbao in 2025.
