The Champions League Round of 16 draw takes place today, Monday, December 13, follow it live on Football Italia.
The Champions League draw begins at 11.00 UK time.
Juventus and Inter are the only Serie A clubs still involved in Europe’s elite competition. The Bianconeri won their group, so they are among the eight seeded clubs, while Inter are unseeded having finished behind Real Madrid in Group D.
Milan were eliminated from Europe, while Atalanta finished third and were dropped to Europa League.
They will be among the unseeded clubs, contrary to Lazio and Napoli who finished in second place, failing to qualify for the last 16.
They will face one of the clubs that dropped from the Champions League in the Europa League knockout play-off. The draw begins at 12.00 UK time, after the Champions League one.
The ‘away goal rule’ has been removed from UEFA competitions, so ties level after 180 minutes will go to extra time irrespective of the number of goals each team has scored at home and away. If the teams still cannot be separated after the additional 30 minutes, the tie goes to a penalty shoot-out.
