Giovanni Simeone is favourite over Giacomo Raspadori to get a starting spot for Napoli at the Johan Cruijff Arena tonight, with the Partenopei looking for their first-ever win in the Netherlands.

It kicks off at 20.00 UK time. Napoli want to confirm their perfect start in Europe having won the first two group stage games against Rangers and Liverpool.

They’ve been impressive in Serie A too, being the table leaders and the only unbeaten team along with Atalanta.

Victor Osimhen is still out of action, so Simeone should replace the Nigeria international against Ajax also considering that Giacomo Raspadori started in the last Serie A match against Torino on Saturday.

Matteo Politano should rest with Hirving Lozano starting on the right. Mario Rui or Mathias Olivera will get the nod at left-back.

This is the first Champions League meeting between Napoli and Ajax, but the Partenopei have never won in Holland, collecting two draws and three defeats.

Ajax-Napoli – probable line-ups

Ajax (4-3-3): Pasveer; Rensch, Timber, Bassey, Blind; Berghuis, Alvarez, Taylor; Tadic, Kudus, Bergwijn.

Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Kim, Mario Rui; Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Lozano, Simeone, Kvaratskhelia.
