Julio Cesar believes Lisandro Lopez and Rafinha would both prove excellent January signings for Inter.

Defender Lopez is expected to undergo a medical with the Nerazzurri on Monday before joining from Benfica on an initial loan deal.

And Cesar, a former teammate of the Argentine at the Lisbon club, believes the 28-year-old will make an impact on and off the field.

“Other than on the pitch, he will make his presence felt in the dressing room,” the former Inter goalkeeper commented.

And Cesar, a former teammate of the Argentine at the Lisbon club, believes the 28-year-old will make an impact on and off the field.

“Other than on the pitch, he will make his presence felt in the dressing room,” the former Inter goalkeeper commented.

“He is a good man for the dressing room. He is a great boy, he likes to laugh and knows how to get on with everyone.

“I am sure he will integrate very quickly. I will call him soon in order to wish him good luck.”

Cesar was asked why he believes Lopez has played so little for Benfica this season.

“That’s how football goes. Every Coach makes his decisions.

“But even if Lisandro didn’t play much, we knew Lisandro was there. He made himself heard.”

Although the signing of Rafinha from Barcelona is still far from certain, Brazilian Cesar thinks the signing of his compatriot would also represent excellent business for Inter.

“We have never been in a team together, so I hardly know him.

“But it’s not difficult to imagine that someone with his talent wouldn’t want to play a bit-part role anymore.

“Inter are doing well. We shouldn’t forget that they are a new team with a new Coach.”
