Sky Sport Italia claim that Inter have agreed personal terms with Cesar Azpilicueta for a two-year contract, as he will leave Chelsea for free.

The veteran is still under contract with the Stamford Bridge side until June 2024, but out of respect for his incredibly long experience at the club, the Blues are ready to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

He turns 34 in August and first joined Chelsea from Olympique Marseille in the summer of 2012, so has worn their jersey for over a decade.

It is believed all the financial details have been agreed for the Inter deal, he now just needs to get the paperwork completed at Chelsea.

Although Azpilicueta can play in any of the roles in a back four, it is believed he will be used as a centre-back by Simone Inzaghi at San Siro.

The Spaniard is seen as the natural heir to Milan Skriniar, whose contract runs down on June 30, allowing him to join Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent.
