Genoa have confirmed that winger Ricardo Centurion will not be joining after all, with Coach Ivan Juric venting “the club were taken for a ride.”

Centurion had travelled to Italy for talks with Genoa, amidst mounting anticipation that the Argentine would return to Marassi, where he spent the 2013-14 season on loan.

However, the former Sao Paulo attacker eventually opted to stay at Boca on a permanent basis.

“It’s not the lad’s fault, but rather other factors that I’d already sensed,” Juric told Telenord.
