Brescia are suddenly in chaos as President Massimo Cellino is in a feud with the agent of several key players, including Capocannoniere Alfredo Donnarumma.

The Rondinelle won promotion to Serie A last season, largely thanks to Donnarumma’s 25 goals in 32 games.

However, the 28-year-old centre-forward is now threatening to leave, along with midfielder Emanuele Ndoj and defender Bruno Martella.

“Brescia’s promotion was a moment of great joy, so our intention was to continue here,” agent Mario Giuffredi told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Brescia’s promotion was a moment of great joy, so our intention was to continue here,” agent Mario Giuffredi told Tuttomercatoweb.

“However, something very serious has happened. Cellino called my players and told them ‘either you change your agent or you can go and play elsewhere.’

“My players replied that they trusted me. If Cellino wants to create this situation, then Donnarumma, Martella and Ndoj will leave. It is a situation that the players and I absolutely did not want.

“In fact, in January I received offers for Donnarumma, but we never took them into consideration. It is really disappointing, as Cellino has created this difficult situation. The lads prefer not to remain at Brescia if there is going to be this atmosphere.

“We wanted to remain at Brescia, but no President can demand a player sack his agent or leave the club. I just can’t explain why this happened. I even forfeited a part of my commission, €25,000, as a gesture of goodwill towards the President.

“Despite the seriousness of the situation and Cellino’s unprofessional behaviour, for the good of Brescia and my clients, I am always prepared to talk… but if the President continues with this attitude, then we will leave.”
