UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin said you can ‘smell the passion for football in Italy’ and they have been ‘perfect’ hosts so far in the Nations League Finals.

“First of all, it’s a great semi-final, it’s a semi-final from the Euros. Two great teams, the European Champions and the young team of Spain, we can expect a fantastic match,” Ceferin told RAI Sport.

Italy are hosting the Nations League Finals, which includes tomorrow evening’s clash between Belgium and France, then the Final on Sunday as well as the battle for third place.

“I just said to my colleagues today when we flew in from Germany that you can smell the passion for football in Italy.

“Italian passion is unbelievable and the Italian Federation organised this tournament together with us. For now, it’s perfect.”

  1. Unfortunately, until the Milanese city council approves a construction permit gor a new San Siro, the FIGC should consider hosting competitive and tournsment quslifying Azzurri home games in Bergamo, Torino, Rome, Udine, Florence, Napoli and Palermo.
