UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin met with FIGC chief Gabriele Gravina today and is reportedly furious at the plea bargain which let Juventus off the hook for more point Serie A points penalties.

The Bianconeri were docked 10 points for artificially inflating transfer fees to boost capital gains and that means they have been ruled out of the Champions League for next season.

They could still qualify for the Europa League or Conference League, but it is widely reported that UEFA will impose sanctions of their own, excluding Juventus from all their competitions for one year.

There was set to be another trial into the so-called salary manoeuvres, which saw Juve announce that players and staff were giving up three months of their salary, whereas in fact it was only one month, the rest repaid through bonus and sponsorship schemes.

This left a strong paper trail and Juventus lawyers feared the worst, which is also why they were so eager to work out a plea bargain with the Federation, resulting in a fine.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, UEFA President Ceferin expressed his irritation over this decision to Gravina.

The rapport between Ceferin and Juventus collapsed entirely when former President Andrea Agnelli was one of the leading figures behind the European Super League project, which would break away from UEFA tournaments.
