Catania have announced they will give Maxi Lopez “a very big fine. He cannot dare to criticise the Coach’s decisions.”

The Argentine expressed his irritation during the 2-1 home defeat to Chievo on Sunday when Francesco Lodi was chosen to take the penalty – saved by Stefano Sorrentino.

“Maxi Lopez will get a very big fine,” declared general manager Pietro Lo Monaco.

“Nobody can dare criticise the Coach’s decisions. Even if he apologised, the obvious gesture was seen by everyone. These are things we have never seen here and will never see again.”

Lopez came off the bench in the second half and is expected to leave Catania in January, most likely for Milan.

“I continue to expect the maximum effort from him. Over the summer he was burned by the Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”12″>Fiorentina issue, as he had reached an agreement with them, but the Viola had not talked to us.”
