Catania return home early

Catania have cut short their mid-season stay in Malta, describing the hotel they were staying in as below expected standards.

Sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco confirmed on Tuesday that the Rossazzurri are returning to Italy ahead of schedule after the club reportedly had several rows with staff at the hotel they were staying at.

“The hotel staff were not up to hosting a club like Catania. But, I would like to thank the Maltese FA for having us.”
