Danilo Cataldi was overjoyed as Lazio defeated Juventus for the Italian Super Cup. “We lifted a trophy and beat one of the best three teams in Europe.”
It was a 3-1 result in Riyadh, replicating the same Serie A victory they achieved on December 7.
The lifelong Aquile fan came off the bench and scored the final goal with a ferocious free kick off the underside of the crossbar.

“I am so happy and exhausted! I heard so many people say how difficult it would be to beat Juve twice in one season, let alone in a couple of weeks,” the midfielder told Lazio Style Channel.
“The Bianconeri were certainly concentrated, because there was a trophy up for grabs. It was tough, especially after their equaliser, but we held out, we lifted a trophy to the sky and beat one of the three best teams in Europe.
“Now we can rest a little bit for Christmas and then get right back on track. We’re bringing the Cup home with us and having a party on the plane!”
