Gaetano Castrovilli is ready to commit to Fiorentina for the long haul as he ‘dreams’ of becoming an ‘icon’ at the Artemio Franchi.
Castrovilli had been linked with a swap deal involving Milan’s Lucas Paqueta, but it is also true that the midfielder signed a new contract until 2024 earlier this season.
“It’s wonderful to have the esteem of President Commisso, Barone and Prade,” he told Corriere dello Sport.

“They made me feel very close to them from the first day and this was also seen through the extension of my contract until 2024.
“It would be a dream for me to become an icon for Fiorentina.”
The 23-year-old is in the presence of the ultimate Viola role model in club director Giancarlo Antognoni.
“I’d like to retrace his career, living in Florence. I’ve learned perfectly what he represents for this city.
“Having a direct relationship with him makes me want to grow more and more.”
