Just months after his Serie A debut, he has become a regular with the Viola jersey and now earned his first Azzurri cap.

“I am very happy, very proud and I dedicate this moment to my family,” the Fiorentina midfielder told Rai Sport.

“First of all, my ambitions are to continue doing well at Fiorentina, both for myself and the club. Then we’ll see what happens in the future.

“My family gave me strong values and I don’t think I will ever lose those. The most important is humility and I promise to always work hard for everything.”

Castrovilli has already confessed he nearly pursued the career of a professional dancer before deciding to focus on his football, but he sees similarities.

“I love dance and when I step on to the field, I feel just as relaxed as when I was dancing. I hope to find a dancing school in Florence!”
