The Fiorentina star has released an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport where he has opened up on a contract extension with La Viola.
Federico Chiesa opted not to stay at the Franchi and move to Juventus instead.

"Everyone makes their own choices,” Castrovilli said.
“I can not judge the professional decisions of another player. If Federico decided so, I can only say good luck.”
“This season’s title race is really uncertain. There are many variables that can affect it. On paper, I would say that Juventus and Inter seem to be the best equipped teams [to win the Scudetto]. There are several clubs that, until now, have proven to be good and could be outsiders. I think of Milan and Napoli.”
Castrovilli feels happy at Fiorentina and discusses his relationship with some of his teammates and with the President Rocco Commisso.
“Unfortunately, criticism is part of this sport but the President has done so many good things to date, he is fighting like a lion to realize projects that can make Fiorentina great.
“All he has in mind is the good of the club and I hope he succeeds in realizing everything he has in mind. We try hard to win as many matches as possible and make him happy.
"Bonaventura is a champion and he has experience, great tactical skills, great ballistic shots, he is helping us a lot to grow. Fiorentina has a right mix of young and more experienced players, he can only be good for us.
“Franck [Ribery] has always believed in me. He pushes me to do my best and he gives me advices that help my growth. He is very important for me and I wanted to dedicate to him my last goal as he was not on the pitch.”
