It kicks off on Monday in Dusseldorf at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT), with the winners facing Manchester United or Sevilla in the Final.
“We are calm, focused and eager to reach the Final,” said the coach in his press conference.
“Antonio Conte has a very complex approach to the game, we know it’s going to be difficult, but also that Inter are well aware they too are up against a tough opponent.
“We know who we are, so we just need to prove our DNA on the pitch. I am convinced we’ll be able to give our best.”
Does that mean there will be no surprised from the Shakhtar tactician?
“All the teams nowadays are trying to distance themselves from their identity, to surprise the opposition, but that’s impossible to do today. We worked in a certain way all season, so have Inter.
“We’ve studied each other carefully and I think tomorrow will be an entertaining match.”
Castro was asked if he had spoken to former Shakhtar Donetsk coach and current Roma boss Paulo Fonseca for advice on facing Inter.
“No, there’s been no exchange of information.”
