Castillejo deactivates Twitter account following fans abuse

Milan winger Samu Castillejo deactivated his Twitter account after becoming a target of fans abuse.

The Spaniard was expected to leave the Rossoneri with Getafe interested in securing his services, but the La Liga side eventually signed Jakub Jankto from Sampdoria.

Milan reportedly want €8m for the Spaniard who must leave San Siro if the Rossoneri are to sign a new right-winger.

Some Rossoneri fans have therefore targeted Castillejo on social media, telling him to leave the club. Many went way too far, insulting the 26-year-old who was forced to deactivate his Twitter account.

However, many other Milan fans are using the hashtag #Castillejo to show support for the Spanish winger who joined the Diavoli from Villareal in a swap deal with Carlos Bacca in the summer of 2018.

He has 10 goals and 13 assists in 108 appearances with the Serie A giants and his contract expires in June 2023.

According to several reports in Italy, Milan haven’t received a formal bid for the winger since Getafe pulled out of negotiations.
