Samu Castillejo appeared to have a hamstring strain during the game with Bologna, adding to the growing list of Milan injuries.

The Spaniard was getting his first start of the season after an impressive substitute performance against Hellas Verona.

However, on the stroke of half-time, he pulled up clutching his hamstring and motioning to the bench that he had suffered a strain.

It was already into stoppages, so Castillejo was able to hold on until the whistle to be replaced by Alexis Saelemaekers.

This is yet another blow for Stefano Pioli, who already went into the Stadio Dall’Ara this evening without nine players.

Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz tested positive for COVID-19, while Franck Kessie is out with flu symptoms.

Ante Rebic, Pietro Pellegri, Mike Maignan, Alessandro Florenzi and Junior Messias are all out of action too.

Fode Ballo-Toure was lucky to avoid a serious injury against Bologna, as Roberto Soriano was sent off for a very high tackle that effectively stamped on his ankle.
