Castagne had been linked with a move away from Bergamo last summer, and at one point it was believed that he was close to joining Crystal Palace.

However the Belgian stayed with La Dea.

In an interview with Belgian newspaper La Derniere Heure, the 24-year-old revealed that he would entertain the idea of a switch to other sides in Italy.

“I want to end the season in style, after the European Championships, we will see if Atalanta makes it into the Champions League for next season.

“It would certainly not be a bad thing to stay. I also don’t know which teams will contact me, we will see.

“England has always attracted me, but if a team like Inter or Napoli should knock on the door….those are great teams.”

Castagne has made 14 appearances in Serie A this season, and has scored once.
