Atalanta wingback Timothy Castagne admits he ‘would choose the Premier League’ for his next destination. ‘I like that style of football.’
The 24-year-old Belgium international joined Atalanta from KRC Genk in the summer of 2017 for €6.5m and helped them qualify for their first ever Champions League campaign.
His contract only runs to June 2021 and he has fallen down the pecking order behind Robin Gosens, although still contributed two goals and two assists in 19 competitive games this season.

“I am happy in Italy, life is not so different to in Belgium, apart from obviously the language issue,” Castagne told Belgian media RTBF.
“I’ll tell the truth, if I could choose my next destination, I’d lean towards England. I like that Premier League style of football, but I don’t have a preferred club. They are all good.”
Atalanta have reached the Champions League quarter-finals, but still sell star names at a big profit every season, and Castagne is likely to be the next on his way out.
However, if Robin Gosens is sold first, then Gian Piero Gasperini might want to keep at least one of his players for the right flank.
